I have traveled around the world, and always prefer to stay in private villas. This is one of the nicest and cleanest villas in the Caribbean. The beach is truly paradise. 5 Star Service all the way.

When you go to a new destination, it is natural to be a bit apprehensive. Will it live up to your expectations? Will you be glad you decided to go there? In the case of Emerald Beach, I think you will be pleasantly impressed.

The neat and tidy property is exactly like it appears in the advertising. The villa itself has all the amenities of a first class accommodation yet retains the relaxed Bajan feel. To us, it felt like our perfect tropical home.

Waveney, the cook, can make you all the traditional dishes of Barbados but she is also very capable of preparing anything else you can imagine. By the way, her rum punch is amazing! Deborah, the housekeeper, with her warm smile and professionalism, keeps the household running smoothly in the background. Together, they made us feel quite comfortable.

While there are a lot of options for things to do, our favourite was to take a leisurely stroll at sunset along the beautiful beach and appreciate our good fortune. We would then return to the gazebo and enjoy a good meal with good company. Life doesn't get much better than this. Overall, our experience was consistently positive and we are delighted to have discovered this hidden treasure.

My family and I spent 8 glorious days at the beachfront paradise and it was easily the best vacation we've ever had. The villa was spotless, comfortable, spacious, gorgeous and had ocean views from every room. This retreat truly exceeded our expectations from the moment we arrived until the sad moment we had to leave.

The real highlight of Emerald Beach Villa #5 was the staff, Eudele and Sayleen. Eudele ensures that everyone receives a genuine Bajan culinary experience, while Sayleen keeps the entire villa tidy every minute you're there. They are always laughing with the guests and each other, an essential activity while relaxing on vacation.

The question isn't will our family return here for another vacation, it's how quickly can that happen!

We just returned from a fantastic week at Emerald Beach Villa #5 and we are incredibly homesick for our vacation. The villa is spacious, spotless and well-appointed, with glorious ocean views from every room. The gardens are lush, lovely and tended with extreme care and the saltwater pool seemed to be the perfect temperature at all times! The beach feels like a private piece of paradise...always quiet and peaceful. While the location, the grounds, and the villa itself are divine; Eudele (the cook) and Sayleen (the housekeeper) make the experience truly unforgettable. The food was INCREDIBLE, the rooms and the laundry IMMACULATE and the ladies kept us laughing and smiling all day, every day. Our two kids (aged 11 months and 3) were totally enamored with Eudele and Sayleen. On our last day we were all saying we didn't want to leave and Eudele said "You've got to go to come back!" and come back we will! We hope to return every year!!!

We just returned back home from our 3rd visit to Emerald Beach Villa # 5 and we are already planning our 4th visit for next year. Our stay always feels like we are on our very own 5-star resort. My husband and our two children absolutely love vacationing at Emerald Beach. A tropical paradise in every sense of the word.

Paradise is only half the story. Our family looks forward with great anticipation to spending time with Saileen and Eudelle who provide warmth, love, great cooking and also find time to keep Villa #5 in immaculate shape.

Delicious meals are served in the spacious outdoor dining area with a view of the Caribbean ocean. Inquire about the Sticky Toffee Cake or Chocolate Souffle (a must have during your stay!!!).

We can never get enough of Eudelle’s Bajan inspired cuisine. Our favorite is the fish from the local fish market, which Eudelle seasons to perfection in local spices and serves as the sun sets into the Caribbean.

Our family was extremely comfortable in the 3- bedroom villa each with an ensuite bathroom and views of the Caribbean ocean from each bedroom. We loved the attentive detail from the staff such as the special turn down service at nighttime.

We made great use of the villa’s salt water pool where our children would spend large periods of the day cooling off from the sun in between exploring the quiet and very private white sandy beach just steps from the villa. Snorkeling and water activities are a few steps from the gates of Emerald Beach Villa’s

It has been sad to return home after a fabulous week in Barbados. Truly, a unique vacation experience. Villa # 5 has become very special to us and it feels like “home” each time we return.

The villa at Emerald Beach #5 is fabulous - wonderful accommodation, beautiful location, on Gibbes beach on the West Coast, lovely gardens and pool. But the true highlights are Eudele the cook and Sayleen who works with her - these ladies are fantastic - great food, welcoming, always laughing and full of fun - they make the holiday.

To advise you of a wonderful 2 week holiday that my husband and I accompanied my parents on recently to Villa#5, Emerald Beach Villas, St. Peter, Barbados: lovely, safe, charming, beautiful and, boy, are you looked after in what feels like your own 2 story elegant home! You have 3 ensuite bedrooms, kitchen, comfy dining and living room with beautiful outside dining /sitting rotunda area all with a huge sense of openness and privacy, looking out over greenery to a brilliant bougainvillea hedge and the ocean vista. Unreal sunset shots. Wonderful wave sounds and that ocean air we miss. There are 6 private villas and a saltwater pool on this gardened property, plus discreet security. Even the birdlife is friendly and charming.. for a few leftovers! You choose and buy the food for your cook. And what a cook we had in Eudelle – a Bajan award winner (her chicken, and flying fish, and orange cake – wow)...and a warmer heart you couldn't find. Our house mistress, Saileen, and she both looked after us so well, so cheerfully. We all shared ALOT of laughter. A really easy atmosphere. You can take taxis everywhere of course (incl. booking a driver for the day to see around the island sights..see the wild east coast!) but we recommend riding the local buses (with music of course) to Holetown for shopping (see chattel houses there). Also recommend you see Speightstown for the old market, gallery, museum, fish market..and, well, local living. So, maybe saving best for last, this private property also has a gate straight onto a lovely beach, Gibbs Bay, one of the most secluded in Barbados. Sunshine every day, snorkling reef right there, sightseeing sandy walks through various bays etc., shell gathering, we even swam with the turtles – so relaxing, we would love to go back with family again...or a group of good friends would be super. Excellent restaurants..you will pay. Enjoy!

My girlfriend and I stayed in #5 in mid November and had a fantastic vacation. We generally go on two beach vacations a year (lucky us) and more often than not stay in 5 star all inclusive resorts. We are in our mid 30's and stay active, but also like to relax on vacation. Emerald Beach was the best of both worlds.

The Villa itself is very luxurious. All the rooms are well decorated, and modern and really well maintained. It's a house, but feels like a small boutique hotel.

The Villa has a cook and maid, Udele and Saileen, who were both very welcoming and accomodating. They both seemed to be having a great laugh every day. We went out for dinner at one of the better restaurants in Barbados one night, and Udele's cooking and presentation was as good or better. There is tons of fresh seafood in Barbados, but we weren't sure about going to the fish market, so Udele picked it up for us and it was always very good and quite reasonable. Her flourless chocolate cake is one of the best desserts I have ever had. She also makes a very good rum punch! Overall, all of the meals we had were top notch.

The beach was one of the nicest we've been on. We spent tons of time in the ocean. The beach itself is nice and sandy, great for swimming and relatively calm. To the left of the Villa there is a small reef, with a surprising variety of fish. Every day we seemed to see something new. A bit down the beach there was a small break and we went boogie boarding a couple of times which was fun as well. They had masks and snorkles and boogie boards for us which was nice. We brought our own masks and snorkles just in case.

One day we took a catamaran/snorkling cruise along the West coast and swam with turtles, and saw a couple of wrecks. The tour company picked us up and dropped us off, which made for an easy and excellent day trip. Otherwise we were pretty happy to hang out around the villa.

Overall, it was a great trip. We generally like to try new places, but we would go back to Emerald Beach in a second.

This is my favorite Caribbean vacation spot, quite possibly my favorite vacation spot period.
I've been to villa #5 many times and honestly don't want to go anywhere else!
It is a beautiful villa and the staff Udele and Salieen are amazing, so warm and pleasant, Udele is an amazing chef, her meals are always something to look forward to.
The location can't be beat, the beach is unbelievable and the grounds are beautiful.
It is the most relaxing vacation you could go on, I love love love this place!

The villas are on one of the nicest beaches on the west coast. Lovely sandy bottom with some coral off to the side of the beach with plenty of space for lounging on the sand. The only problem is that the villas do not allow you to take the sun beds onto the beach, therefore the only option is to sit on a towel, not a big problem, but if you are elderly it might be an issue.

The villa I stayed at is well furnished with comfortable beds and seating areas with one on the patio overlooking the pool and gardens. The only part of the villa that was run down was the shower of the master bedroom and the entire bathroom of the smallest bedroom. Both really need to redone.

Staff were very pleasant. The cook did quite a good job but never came up with any menu suggestions, even when you asked her, so it really was up to you. I also found the quality of the food at the supermarkets quite poor. Next time I will pre order from a website I came across that imports all their meat and chicken from the US. The maid was wonderfull and did a splendid job and washed any clothes she found in the hamper.

These villas are a wonderful option for a family who don't want to book several rooms at a hotel. Pool is quite a good size and only a few feet from the villa, the beach is just beyond that.

Security is on duty from 6pm to 6am and I saw them often walking the grounds. All the doors and windows have bars/grills for safety.

All in all a very enjoyable stay.
